Being an entrepreneur is not for the faint of heart. There are many challenges you endure and face, most of which are of an emotional, mental, and spiritual nature.
Despite the opposition you face, we have a much more powerful and merciful God who has already established our paths, designed our purpose, laid out our true worth and identity, and is directing our steps to living a life in full as He has promised to those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
In the midst of adversity, here are 14 powerful Bible verses that discuss what is our identity in Christ.
"God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become righteousness of God". - 2 Corinthians 5:21, NIV
You are righteous
-This is an incredibly powerful Bible verse. According to Merriam Webster, righteousness is defined as "acting in acting in accord with divine or moral law : free from guilt or sin". Think about that for a second. Think about how powerful and freeing this Bible verse is. Because of Jesus Christ's sacrifice, we have become righteousness. Prior to Jesus, only those who were deemed righteous would have the right to have a relationship with God. Prior to Jesus, only those who followed the 10 commandments and obeyed them were called righteous. When Jesus was crucified, died, and then was resurrected, that gave every person, regardless of the magnitude of the sins previously committed, the gift of becoming righteousness and thus enjoying a relationship with God, and all of the rewards that belong to a righteous person. Praise God! Hallelujah!
2. "'He himself bore our sins' in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; 'by his wounds you have been healed'". - 1 Peter 2:24, NIV
You are healed
-You are healed from everything that can plague you. It is our responsibility to have the courage to step forward in our lives and claim that. It is scary to believe this, especially when you have been battling ill-health or trauma for so long, but the word is clear: Once you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are healed. Believe that and speak that over yourself, your family, and those who need to hear it.
3. "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace". - Ephesians 1:7, NIV
You have been redeemed and are forgiven
- The dictionary defines redemption as the action of saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil. Think about that for a second. You have been saved from sin. You have been saved from error. You have been saved from evil. Or, better yet, let us rewrite that in the present tense. You are saved from sin. You are saved from error. You are saved from evil. You have been forgiven by God. Dwell on that for a minute. Dwell on how powerful this Bible verse is. God's forgiveness of sins means you are free from the punishment of those sins. It is up to us to continually claim that freedom and speak up whenever the devil tries to condemn us and put us back into a place of shame. You have been blessed with freedom.
4. "For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin". - Romans 6:6, NIV
You are no longer a slave to sin
- You no longer have to stay helpless and powerless against the power of sin. You have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and through His blood, you have been given the power to overcome sin and its hold on you. When you are facing temptation, call out to Jesus. Pray to Him. Endure that struggle with resisting that temptation until Jesus frees you from that desire and you feel a lightness in your chest. If you need help with this, please do not hesitate to reach out to another believer who you can trust and that will pray with you.
5. "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations". Jeremiah 1:5, NIV
&
6. "'...For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future'". - Jeremiah 29:11, NIV
You are created for a purpose and God has a plan for your life
7. "'I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me'". - Galatians 2:20, NIV
You now live by what the Word of God says is true and are not held down by what the world says is true
8. "'I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his mater's business. Instead I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you'". - John 15:15, NIV
You are Jesus' friend
9. "No, in all things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us". - Romans 8:37, NIV
You are a conqueror in all areas of your life
-This is incredibly powerful. Through the blood of Jesus, you have been made more than a conqueror. The dictionary defines conquer as successfully overcoming a problem or a weakness. Therefore, you are successfully overcoming a problem or weakness in all areas of your life. You are already and will be victorious!
10. "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him" - Psalm 34:7-8, NIV

"To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be his holy people, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ - their Lord and ours: Grace and peace to your from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ". - 1 Corinthians 1:2, NIV
You have been sanctified
12. "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight...". - Ephesians 1:3-4, NIV
You are blessed with every spiritual blessing
-What are the spiritual blessings described here? According to Got Questions Ministries, every spiritual blessing encompasses all the gifts of the Holy Spirit given by God the Father to those who have experienced His salvation in Jesus Christ. A few examples are direct access to God, God's abundant grace (unmerited favor over our lives), and Christ's redemptive power, among so many others. As a result, we have so much to be grateful and thankful for!
13. "'No weapon forged against you will prevail and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,' declares the Lord". - Isaiah 54:17, NIV
You are delivered from your enemies and vindicated by God
14. "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you". - Luke 10:19, NIV
